Garden Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus) is one of the best invasive plants you can have in your garden! Yes, I am excited about and invasive plant! It is flashy beautiful and will bloom for months in spring and summer, and guess what – everything you see is edible! Colorful flowers for salads, leaves for stir-fries, veggie juices, pestos or wraps, and you can pickle young seeds to make your own garden “capers”!

Nasturtium is slightly piquant and reminds of watercress or arugula, and is also a good source of vitamin C and lutein.

Other benefits

The benefits of nasturtium don´t end here – apart from being beautiful and edible a nasturtium bush can act as a decoy for aphids and save your harvest.
