If you are still wondering how and weather to start your sourdough journey, summer is a perfect time and we have a workshop for beginners 2nd of July (in Portuguese).
Sourdough is a natural fermentation that elevates the flavour and nutritional profile of your baked goods and helps you with digestion.
Sourdough bread is famously difficult bread to make, but it is just a matter of understanding how the sourdough works and what factors influence the sourdough starter and the dough.
Workshop details:
In this workshop you will:
- learn how to feed and maintain your sourdough starter in a no-fuss way
- learn to control different factors that have an effect on fermentation
- make, bake and try some simple sourdough recipes: sour pancakes and flatbreads (skillet and oven)
- take home an established sourdough starter kit to start your journey
Are we going to make and bake a fluffy, round sourdough loaf? No. For that we would need another full day. But the most important factor in your sourdough bread is a strong and vigorous starter, so you will be on your way into the sourdough journey.
